Commercialisation
Commercialization of research is an important element in bridging science and business. SRTD provides researchers with seminars and training about Technology Transfer (TT) and Intellectual Property Rights (IP). The aim of this component is to foster cooperation and increase linkage between research community and private sector, help in licensing research and setting up new SMEs.
SRTD is also coordinating the development of national technology transfer activities and supports the establishment of a national Intellectual Property Commerialisation Office (IPCO) with 11 technology transfer Branch Offices situated within research and business organisations across the country. More information will be added once the plans are finalised.
