Research
SRTD is improving the promotion of the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and other EU funded research programmes through a network of 50 Focal Points within the academic and business community.
Their mission is to disseminate information about EU research programmes, policy development and relations with European universities, and provide support to applicants in their participation in EU funded programmes at national and European level.
Each Focal Point is managed by a Liaison O fficer and has a computer terminal to enable researchers to get information about EU funding opportunities.
Focal Points are currently established within the following organisations:
Capacity Building
In order to be effective, SRTD has provided significant training to Liaison Officers through missions by European experts to Jordan and an Internships to European countries.
Researchers have also benefited from European experts and opportunities to attend conferences and workshops.
